Rebuilding someone elses package

Hi.

Two weeks ago I filed https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=174287
which requests a rebuild of x3270 for the new openssl in bugzilla. So far
there has been no response.

How are we supposed to handle this? Assuming the package still builds with
the new Openssl (an I have no indication that it would not), can I just
request a rebuild if the maintainer is not responding?

(This special case is a little more complicated as the package also
Requires: /usr/X11R6/bin/mkfontdir which would have to be changed to
the new path, so it is not a simple "increase release number and push to
build system").
