build status part deux

And it looks like we now have working ppc builds.  Going from a 32bit
ppc box to a 64bit ppc box involved working through some not entirely
obvious at first problems, but those are looking to be pretty happy
now.  

I'll check back on things once I get home to make sure things are
continuing to go happily and to start working towards bringing up the
other build machines.
