FWIW, I still like the %{_libdir}/netcdf-3/{include,lib} proposal made
there. ;o)

Namespace pollution is not much of an issue with NetCDF, as all but one
file in netcdf-devel are prefixed with "netcdf". Piping header files
directly into top-level include directory is not nice in either case,
regardless of whether other software does it, too.
