Well, as the comment in Bugzilla notes, upstream is phasing out support.
Maintaining something like that when the upstream package provider doesn't
is out of the scope of what we can reasonably do.

If a particular package has bugs which prevent it from working with the GTK2
version of wxWidgets, those bugs will need to be fixed by the various
upstream projects sooner or later.

Are you aware of a particular reason aMule or any other program wouldn't
work? I can't seem to access Livna right now, but as a quick test, I
downloaded the latest aMule source and it seems to build and run against the
new package just fine.
