buildsystem slow/stuck

Stuff should be going now, I was trying to figure out the erlang/gcj
hang thing in-process for a couple hours this afternoon which was
holding up the system.  Now that I've killed the erlang job the builds
are going through.  We're taking hammer3 down to use for debugging this
issue.
