Thanks, I've done this and also not package the binary examples.

I've taken a look at lam (in fedora core), and it doesn't provide a -devel
subpackage too. The two (mpich and lam) are alternative implementation of MPI
protocol and are very similar both in use and in packaging.
I really don't know how the split into a -devel subpackage should be done (if at
all necessary), i mean which files should remain in the package and what goes
into the -devel subpackage.
