since we basically agree on how to handle sound stuff now id like to discuss 
the other stuff in detail ;)

theres only a very small amount of users in my eyes that would use wine-devel 
on non x boxes ;). sure for the wine compiler it makes perfect sense to have a 
non x setup solution. on the other hand none of the regular wine users will use 
wine without x really.
the wine-gl issue should be discussed further in my eyes.

for the other things id really love to see a case by case decision. the 
question in my eyes is mainly if its really worth splitting that stuff off or 
not, sure for half kde its worth it but for a few small libs... one has to look 
at the whole dep chain to decide that. creating a split to save a few kb of 
disc space and upgrade bandwidth probably isnt worth it and really just leaves 
users unhappy because they cant get stuff to work because they have no clue 
what twain does ;)
