Included in the next version of the upstream project? So that means
the artwork will be available under the GPL as part of GCFilms..since
GCFilms claims to be licensed under the GPL?

This is a discussion that the upstream project needs to have and be
very careful about. The GCfilms project needs to make sure the author
of that artwork is actually offering the work under GPL compatible
terms so they can be re-distributed as part of GCfilms. Since GCfilms
is licensed under the GPL. and the BY-NC-SA license is incompatible
there is definitely going to have to be a dual license situation here
for GCfilms to include it. If GCfilms doesn't get this cleared up
before they include the artwork.. thats going to make things much more
difficult for you as a packager.
