rpm: cpio MD5 sum mismatch

I've been trying to prepare a maxima update, but I seem to be getting
stuck.  No matter what I do, one of maxima's subpkg's always yields the
following error when trying to install:

    1:maxima-runtime-clisp   ###########################################

error: unpacking of archive failed on file
/usr/lib/maxima/5.9.1.9rc1/binary-clisp/lisp.run;432b2912: cpio: MD5 sum
mismatch

I've tried rebuilding the package 4-5 times now, so I doubt this is some
sort of random corruption.  Any ideas what is going on here?
