I pinged bytee in #fedora-extras on this, here's his response:

[07:54:09] < thl> | bytee_, please read
https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-extras-list/2006-August/msg00170.html
[09:18:44] < bytee_> | thl: i will respond and fix that bug. sorry.
[09:19:04] < bytee_> | thl: my main problem was that the package
required an update. and the update breaks the old database. i havent
figured out a nice way to deal with it
[09:19:32] < bytee_> | thl: i'm thinking that breaking it in itself
might be the best way. because the straw package itself doesn't offfer a
conversion tool
[09:23:19] < thl> | bytee_, thx
[09:23:31] < thl> | bytee_, gaim-guifications needs a update, too
[09:23:37] < thl> | bytee_, see
https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-extras-list/2006-August/msg00166.html
[09:24:10] < bytee_> | thl: i know that, i will do that next week.
[09:24:14] < bytee_> | as does MagicPoint.
[09:24:26] < bytee_> | thl: give me a week, i'm not home at the moment
[09:24:50] < bytee_> | thl: do you mind responding to the post for
me? its not convenient to do email atm
[09:26:58] < thl> | bytee_, shall I simply cut'n'paste this
conversation?
[09:27:05] < bytee_> | thl: sure, if you want.
[09:27:17] < bytee_> | thl: i'll update it all next week when back.
