Appending a file in %{_sysconfdir}

Jesse's absolutely right... his suggestion certainly is the best
(long-term) solution to this general type of problem, e.g.
/etc/ld.so.conf.d/
/etc/fonts/conf.d/
/etc/httpd/conf.d/
