I really don't buy this argument. If you're really wanting to move a
binary from one system to another, you can just as easily move the
libraries it depends on as well. Use LD_LIBRARY_PATH. I did this on
several occasions years ago, to run a binary compiled on Red Hat on a
Debian system.
