No, it was probably more like "they all want more or less the same
thing, they seem to be trusted by others, let them have the job - why
bother voting". So far FE has been a consensual project with few
abrasive personalities. Who's in fesco does not seem to matter (what
matters there are suckers willing to take the job).

Low stakes election means few voters.
