Yes, this was used for fpc and cmucl as well.  This method works well
and has the added benefit of not require any overworked admins to
manually handle the procedure.

Keep in mind that packages are immediately available to the
buildsystem as soon as they're built, so you can get your packages
done without the special source package ever making it out to the
mirrors.
