Some people rebuild Extras packages for other distributions/hardware.
For instance, there is Aurora Linux for sparc, which is based on Fedora.
There are probably people doing the same for Itanium.

Can't you just download a ppc kernel rpm and use "rpm -qlp
kernel-xxx.ppc.rpm" to see if the module is included?
