It appears that there is nothing in /proc at all...

$ pwd
/var/lib/mock/fedora-4-x86_64-core/root/proc
$ ls -l
total 0

The following symlinks show up in /dev but they are pointing to the
/proc/self/fd stuff which doesn't exist:
fd, stderr, stdin, stdout
