Carrying alternate kernel builds in Extras

Hi Jason,

Maybe just file a bug about this, because its clearly not a feature and 
Dave figure out how he is going to handle the bug, and only after he 
decides to close it as won'tfix then do the additional kernel in extras 
limbo?
