Well I would like to try to make everyone happy on this issue.
(And I actually prefer focused discussion in bugzilla to
rants and petering out discussions in mailing-lists but if
I missed discussions on this I should catchup on it.)

Karel, the problem for me is if we don't install IM
(input-methods) by default then we have the opposite
and harder problem of teaching people how to install them.

yum groupremove input-methods /should/ do what you want
though it is not much tested I think.
