Is this with Fedora 8? Could you list the output of rpm -qa scim\* m17n\* | sort ? If it is reproducible it would be good to file a good in bugzilla. Thanks for bringing this up. It is easily reproducible and I filed the following bug for it: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=440567 It may be a problem with bn-itrans.mim. I didn't try testing under uim. I think it may not be a new problem, but I see it anyway with: m17n-db-1.5.1-2.fc9.noarch m17n-lib-1.5.1-1.fc9.i386 scim-1.4.7-21.fc9.i386 scim-bridge-0.4.15-4.fc9.i386 scim-m17n-0.2.2-3.fc9.i386 (just listing the fedora base packages here to avoid confusion). I hear it is also reproducible under Fedora 8. Yes - you can run for example: $ GTK_IM_MODULE=scim gedit to use the scim gtkimmodule instead. That may avoid the scim restart but it still seems to put scim into a bad state for me where IM does not work. Then you probably don't have scim-gtk installed? Anyway I am sorry it turns out that apparently one of our patches to bn-itrans is breaking the map in fedora. I should have checked more carefully before posting - my apologies for using your time on this. :-( Of course it would be nice if broken maps did not cause scim to segfault. Thanks, Jens
