I am happy to announce the official first release of the CowboyHat Linux distribution for ia64! This is based on Fedora 10. This was built from Fedora F10 SRPMs however since it was built outside of the Fedora environment it is not an official Fedora release and hence cannot bear the Fedora name. Please remember that this is purely experimental and should not be used in mission critical environments. Use at your own risk! My next priority will be to get a release based on F11 out so issues found in CowboyHat-F10 will be addressed there. Once we are caught up I will see about building the updates for F10. IMPORTANT: There are a few key issues and workarounds you must do to install this. Please read the info regarding known issues on the web page. The key one is you need to manually specify the /boot/efi partition during install.
