I'd say that there are various ways and means to arrive at popularity
scenarios and none of them are aimed to make everybody happy. A software
would have repeated usage from same user and increased uptake once it
provides the functionality desired by the user with the performance
levels expected during such increased usage. The aim perhaps should be
to arrive at that flex point
