Since I am a part of the college LUG, I get free media for
distributing from the college. But I will moving out of college soon
and then servicing requests would be a real problem for me. It would
be nice if some infrastructure as you mentioned can be setup. The
Ubuntu freemedia distribution works really well. Can't we do the same.
Off course there are monetary implications of this but that needs to
figured out by the budget makers.

In some cases people do buy DVD and get the ISO burnt but that is a
rare occurrence.

I am willing to help but how can I when I am not even able to view the
tickets due to the recent trac policy change. I even applied to the
freemedia group but haven't received a response since then. I even
joined the mailing list but no confirmation mail or what so ever has
been received. I sent private mails to the administrators but they
don't seem to bother.

It is as difficult to materialize this as it is easy to say. But
surely it is not impossible if we give it a proper try. Reachability
is a separate issue altogether. It isn't tat you are reachable just
because you have your name and phone number on the local contacts
list. You cannot leave the money part to be figured out later because
that is a very important necessity for this plan to be successful.

I think it can be done.
