Forward regarding mirrorlist failures and maybe we should fix that

With http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist being the default and
central bottleneck in fedora configuations, this probably affects all
fedora users world-wide, who are trying to use yum:

# yum update
...
Could not retrieve mirrorlist http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=fedora-8&arch=i386 error was
[Errno 14] HTTP Error 500: Internal Server Error
Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: fedora. Please verify its path and try again
