yum throws this message

You need to edit your /etc/dbus-1/system.d/org.freedesktop.PackageKit.conf
to include:

<allow send_interface="org.freedesktop.PackageKit"/>
<allow send_interface="org.freedesktop.PackageKit.Transaction"/>

Add these below the line reading:

<policy context="default">
