I think even Compiz is working on both. The only issue is that there is no switching at run time. I choose to select the integrated in the BIOS because it runs a lot cooler and the Intel integrated is a bit better supported at the moment (in my limited experience). Hope that helps. I'm running Fedora 11 x86_64 with all packages up to date. I think an upgraded package or packages released some time in the past 6 weeks is responsible, but not sure which one(s) yet. Has anyone else with an x301 or this chipset experienced a problem? I've submitted a bugzilla report with details on what I'm seeing here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=526992 Regards, Nik Lam From mcepl at redhat.com Thu Oct 8 07:33:04 2009 From: mcepl at redhat.com (Matej Cepl) Date: Thu, 8 Oct 2009 07:33:04 +0000 (UTC) Subject: Lenovo T500 References: <4ACCCFEC.6050100@gmail.com> <4ACD2B93.3080409@googlemail.com> Message-ID: Jonathan Pritchard, Thu, 08 Oct 2009 01:00:19 +0100: > Well I've got a T400 with hybrid graphics (Intel X4500 & ATI Radeon > 3470) and they are both supported out of the box on Fedora 11. Actually, I have the same Leonovo Thinkpad T400 and I wasn't able to switch to ATI graphics at all (didn't mean to use it seriously, just to try how it works). Have you ever managed to switch to ATI graphics with your T400 (using BIOS presumably)? Switching to discrete graphics in the BIOS works fine. Make sure you have the ati and radeonhd drivers installed - works fine. It even works if I leave on 'OS detection' and 'switchable graphics' (I forget to change the option sometimes). Although it does get mighty hot, I don't believe the GPU thermal management driver is very good, as both GPUs are running.
