I have tried both with 2.0.2 and release 20031106
[smoogen at smoogen1 temp]$ md5sum aic79*
6012bcdb7c79e50be43dfb5e0c8ff594 aic79xx-2.0.2-source.tar.gz
dcb9aa0cd8179f81aaae4822eb7c2018 aic79xx-linux-2.4-20031106-tar.gz
and using the kernel-source RPM as supplied by RH so that I have all the
other 'fixes'. Merged the /drivers/scsi/Makefile and such to make sure I
had correct items.
Now is when you are supposed to say: did you do the obvious XYZ, and I
will argue that I did.. and then realize that I didnt :)..
