This package lays base for libpcap, a packet capture and filtering
library, contains command-line utilities, contains plugins and

separately to GTK+ package.

Update Information:
 
Ethereal, an open-source network protocol analyzer, has
been reported to be vulnerable to 13 buffer overflow conditions in
multiple protocol parser functions. Version 0.10.3 is reportedly fixed
and no longer vulnerable.
