Note these are superseeded by RH, not FL, e.g. noone wants to remove
the last vendor provided package, only the ones that the vendor
himself doomed to /dev/null.

Keeping old packages in the repos is not helpful, especially for an
end user using yum. yum cannot downgrade packages anyway, and hardly
an end user will want to go back in package history in FL scope (an FL
user relies on the fact that surfing on latest FL updates will give
him a secure system).

Developers may be interested to be able to track a package back, but
IMHO we don't need that structure replicated over all mirrors raising
each distros space by a factor of 50%. Just look at the plethora of
obsoleted kernel packages, e.g. (i686/up only)

-rw-r--r-- 1 ftp ftp 13M Apr 22 2004 download.fedoralegacy.org/fedora/1/updates/i386/kernel-2.4.22-1.2188.nptl.i686.rpm
-rw-r--r-- 1 ftp ftp 13M Jun 21 2004 download.fedoralegacy.org/fedora/1/updates/i386/kernel-2.4.22-1.2194.nptl.i686.rpm
-rw-r--r-- 1 ftp ftp 13M Jul 1 2004 download.fedoralegacy.org/fedora/1/updates/i386/kernel-2.4.22-1.2197.nptl.i686.rpm

My vote is to remove them from the repo structure, and if there is
interest to place them outside the mirroring area. Keeping the mirror
space low makes it more attractive to mirrors.
