Updates Politics Proposal

The things are going so long, and with the new releases to be handed
over to the Legacy as imminent, maybe we should try to simplify the
updates releasing procedure.

What I have in mind is, for those packages that would be possible to do
such a thing, to stick with the one version and build RPMS for a
specific release. For instance, GAIM can be kept the same version for
all Legacy releases. Or Openoffice.org. Or most of the packages. OK,
kernel and others alike packages would make an exception. The version to
be maintained can be the one from the newest relase in the bunch.

I think that this way would greatly ease a burden that you guys take on
doing such an outstanding work.

What say you?
