SiS video Card roblem with FC1

I'm having a really hard time with various Linuxs (RedHat from 5.2 up to 9, 
and now FC1) and a SiS 530 Video Card (same problem with a 630).
The problem is that on the X I get a screen with interferences (something like 
vertical snowy lines).
I tried changing lots of settings in the XF86Config file (SWCursor, NOAccel, 
different refresh rates for the monitor) with no luck at all.
What can I do to have a decent GUI?
