DSL Modems

I am trying to connect to my ISP using a DSL modem. I ran the internet
connection wizard and I put in my user name and password, but it will
not let me connect no errors only cannot find site www.XXXXXXX.com
<http://www.xxxxxxx.com/> .  What am I doing wrong. Red Hat 9 that's all
you had to do and away you go. Amy help would be appreciated.
