Installing Macromedia Flash

My recommendation would be to go and grab the Flash RPM, and not try to
install it from .tar.gz or .tar.bz2.

They have an RPM specifically for Fedora Core 1.  I believe it needs
compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.118.i386.rpm, which you can get off the Fedora
installation CD 3, or do 'yum install compat-libstdc++'.

Once you do that, go:
rpm -ivh  flash-plugin-6.0.79-2.i386.rpm
or, if you haven't downloaded it already:
http://sluglug.ucsc.edu/macromedia/apt/fedora/1/RPMS.macromedia/flash-plugin-6.0.79-2.i386.rpm

...everything else should take care of itself (brings up a license
agreement and installs itself).  Cheers,
