Seg. Faults with Zend Optimizer 2.1 and zlib-1.2?

I've installed Zend Optimizer on a FC1 install (only stable updates, no
testing packages). While trying to load an encoded php page apache quits
with segmentation fault.

In Zend Forum i've read about problems with zlib 1.2 on fc1 and rh. To
try this i've rebuild the RH 9 zlib-1.1.4-8 src rpm and Zend Optimizer
runs fine.

I don't know if could be a problem using this zlib 1.1.4 on fc1. Is
there anyone who have successfully installed Zend Optimizer on fc1 and
zlib 1.2? Any ideas?
