As a public service, and to soothe some frayed nerves:

1) Kindly enter an appropriate SUBJECT line.
Please DO NOT send messages headed "fedora-list archives ..."

2) Kindly EDIT any message to which you are replying, and
enter your reply at the BOTTOM of the message. THANK YOU.

!!(If you cannot take the few micro-seconds to do so, then
please do not add to the heavy traffic here by posting an
ENTIRE message, _merely_ to add *one or two lines* in reply
... at the top!

3) Kindly DO NOT post messages in HTML (which is the favourite
tool of SPAMMERS). Instead, please post your messages in PLAIN
TEXT.

4) Kindly keep your signature to four lines or less. As "cute"
as ascii art and "wise quotations" may be, the only add to
the size of your post. The same can be said of "business card
signatures".

PLEASE DO NOT ASSume that all the members on this list are using
cable or fast connections, or have the luxury of !!CHEAP RATES as
you do.

5) Kindly refrain from changing a topic, and NOT changing the
SUBJECT LINE accordingly. This is known as "hijacking a thread",
and wastes other people's time *reading what does not interest
them*.

6) PLEASE break up your messages into small paragraphs. Not all
members on this list are native English speakers (or writers).

Even for those of use whose mother tongue *is* English, it is
_extremely confusing_ to try reading a message that is one
HUGE CHUNK of text ... and it may put off those who might
(otherwise) be willing to offer help to you.

7) PLEASE provide as much detail as possible on your hardware
and software, as what you have done or *not* done, when
asking for help. You will get a faster response, and it will
save *your* stress and nerves, especially if you are trying
to meet a schedule, and the problem prevents you from so doing.

8) BEFORE posting a message for help here, kindly search through
The fedora-list Archives which is HERE:
http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-list/

Also, you can search on http://www.google.com. *Usually* the
question you wish to ask may already have been answered.

You will also find that a HOW-TO and FAQ is in progress which
relates DIRECTLY to Fedora Core. (Discussed in the archives).

!!NOTA BENE: (Other people's) [TIME=MONEY]

Thanks in advance for taking the time to READ and UNDERSTAND
this message.

Flame me if you will, I don't care.

respectfully and sincerely,

Elton Woo.
