Help needed with SanDisk CRUZER memory stick

The key problem here is
Dec 22 20:11:22 localhost kernel: sdb : READ CAPACITY failed
I also saw the similar problem with my USB CompactFlash reader. My FC1
can only recognize the CF Reader the 1st time it is connected; after
mounting the drive, unmounting it, disconnecting, reconnecting it, FC1
cannot recognize it with the same message as above.
