Check the release notes.  Sources for up2date are in
/etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources.  I have that machine checking a local mirror
of the official repos.

If you want an old package then up2date or yum probably isn't what you want.

Watch for line wrap.  Better yet, pick a faster mirror.

Once again, "if it isn't in bugzilla, it doesn't exist".  I see no
complaints about numlock and the kernel.  FWIW the latest updates-released
kernel is -2135.

Go to a terminal (right click the desktop and select "New Terminal"). 
Then type:

rpm -qa redhat-config-packages

The original version of r-c-p had issues finding the CDs, but if you are
updated it should be ok.

After that type:

redhat-config-packages

To actually run the program and watch the terminal for output when you get
the errors.
