I just did a modprobe nvidia and then tried modprobe glx. It still gave
me the error about not finding the glx module, but I didn't receive any
errors regarding nvidia. Is the "GLX module" really needed?

I did a modprobe on glx and got back "Can't locate module glx". I'm
apologize for the basic question, but how can I get that module loaded
or installed?

loading the module is done by just typing modprobe glx
but... glx might be included in the nvidia module so u could do a
modprobe nvidia or nvidia.o
