With Fedora, there is no need/use in registering with the rhn network. 
Updates are provided via yum channels automatically set up by the
install.  Just RIGHT-click on the GUI applet and check for Launch
up2date or on Configuration, or at the cli, enter up2date --configure.

See if that works.
