Synaptic and atrpms

I guess I should answer your first question too :D
"ATrpms" (http://atrpms.physik.fu-berlin.de/) is an rpm repository, and
the version of synaptic you can get from ATrpms depends on a package
called "atrpms" (which i think is just a preconfigured sources.list)
