problems running Acrobat Reader 5

This is a multi-user system with dozends of different users. Using
wine is not an option as it changes all pathnames to windows-style, is
not able to run our printer script, etc, etc...

The lastest wine does not compile (easily fixed) or run
(LD_ASSUME_KERNEL) out of the box either :-((.
