Evolution printers - cups auto detected printers?

Am I alone in this?  I have cups setup to auto detect printer queues. 
But I also have to add a few printer queues manually since my main print
server is Redhat 7.3 with LPRng.

When I try to print something from Evolution, the auto-detected queues
show up as options to print to, but not the manually setup queues.

After a bit of research, I noticed that abiword and gnumeric have the
exact same problem.  So I'm thinking it's a gnome-print problem.  But I
can't find any bugzilla entries at redhat or gnome.org.
