And what a relief when it was. Linuxconf was the only tool, in the
history of computer software, to be officially listed as a weapon of

Yup, I just don't feel comfortable allowing "Gooeys®" to make sweeping
system changes ... some of which I may not specifically want. Give me vi
every time.

A good example is iptables. I don't get why (some) people think that
editing /etc/sysconfig/iptables (or doing an "iptables -A") is more
complicated than using one of the many GUI firewall tools. I know my TCP
inside out, but those gooeys confuse the hell out of me.

I honestly don't know what all the fuss is about text-based config
files. XML config files ... well that's another story.
