shockwave-flash-plugin RPM?

I just tried "rpm -ivh  flash-plugin-6.0.79-1.i386.rpm" on a fresh FC1 
install (plus nvidia drivers) and got a seg fault.

tried again and got the 100% complete but had to "kill -9" to get a 
prompt back. Now if I try to "rpm -e" or even "rpm -qa | grep"  I have 
to kill -9 or ctrl-Z ...

A few others on the list mentioned this worked fine.. but not for me. 
Can anyone help?
