Yes i know they don't support online resizing, but I could not get the / 
fiesystem to resize enev when booted from the rescue disk and umounting 
/ .. It simply said that it would not resize.. Not much detail as to 
why.. :(

This is why I was questioning if anyone had actually managed to resize a 
/ filesystem in a LV..
