grub

Neither of these reasons (replies from Gunchev and Beever) were the
reasons. The bios is set correctly, and grub is found. It sits for a
minute dieplaying GRUB
Then a minute or so later it says Loading stage2
Then very slowly 3 dots appear. Then a further minute or 2 later, the
screen goes blank, and finally, a minute or 2 after that, the grub screen
appears. After this, things boot fine... (Windoze or fedora)

I think its also not a problem with the devices - Primary IDE master is
a harddrive (master) and the other harddrive on this cable is set to
slave. The secondary IDE cable just has a CD drive (master).
Fedora is installed on the secondary harddrive.

Any more ideas?

Thanks.
