Firstboot loses the mouse pointer?

I can confirm the bug on my Thinkpad 570E.  I plan on installing
Fedora Core 1 on a Thinkpad 240 next week.  I'll see if the bug's
evident there as well.  For what it's worth, I didn't see the problem
under Red Hat 8 or 9 on the Thinkpad 240.
