Httpd passworded directory problem fixed!

Yes, but this is no longer being used in a separate file. Now, you muist 
put this:

AuthType Basic
AuthName "The passworded directory"
AuthUserFile /blah/blah/passwordfile
require valid-user

Into a .htaccess file in the directory you want to protect. Then, it works 
fine. The old way of doing it has been discontinued.
