There are two partions for /boot from different installs. I am multi-booting FC1 and RH9. Yes you are right. Thanks !!! Killing one of the LABELS on /boot works and returns things to normal. Why use labels if multiple installs are going to cause this conflict. Looks like this trap needs flagging somewhere. tb
