upgrade from rh8

On Sunday I helped my dad to upgrade his laptop running RedHat 8.0 to
Fedora. We initially tried to upgrade via yum, but that hit a snag with
some X packages. IIRC, it was XFree86-libs and Xft that were
conflicting.

Fortunately he had downloaded ISO images beforehand, and we could try
upgrade-from-CD, which worked perfectly. Fedora installer indeed
recognized old RH8 installation and happily upgraded the system. After
system upgrade, we updated package tree w/ yum to have all the latest
and greatest.

Seems to work fine, he hasn't called/e-mailed about any problems. :)
