L440GX and aic7xxx failure

On that system i was able to install RH9 a while ago. I don't remember
if i did any tricks back then to get it working.

But now with Fedora...

"linux apic" doesn't work.

"linux aic7xxx=no_reset" doesn't work.

Any suggestions?
